10.111/ 9.360 more days to work
Note: This is not for workaholics (stop feeling complimented by a disease), for those with a thirst for power, for those who see numbers, not people.
This is for those feeling their body collapsing in front of their work laptop, this is for those who do not keep track of the extra hours. (If you get to decide when I should take time outside work for work, I think it’s my decision when to take that back)
This is for my fear and guilt. Thank you for living within me. It’s tine to let you go.
Hear me out: loving your job doesn’t have to mean hating your life.
Working 8 hours per day, respecting the daily, weekly, yearly breaks doesn’t mean you are not a good employee.
You are not slow. You are burned out.
They are not disappointed in you. They are understaffed.
It’s not called personal time, time off, break if you still worry about work.
Impostor Syndrome may just be you overworking and not being appreciated because they cannot afford to let you know how valuable you are. Or simply you not having time to develop your current skills, to discovered new ones or being so tired you get more memory losses and more anxiety.
The trackers are made to adapt your holidays on the already planned ones. You can plan your holidays based on those. It would be impossible to have a global meeting with you, your colleagues, their partners, your partner, their partners colleagues and all the other people you may wanna go on a trip with and their colleagues 🤦🏻♀️
Don’t compare yourself or your subordinates with other colleagues. They may be overworking to avoid something. Or they may overwork because they are scared of losing their jobs.
I let the fear go. Join me.
Respect yourself. And work for people who do the same.
They say you should be careful about anything you post on the internet because the recruiters can see it. Have I just filtered myself out of toxic work environments? Oups.
